About me Hello and thanks for dropping by. I am a teacher, I am a student and now I am a novice researcher, wandering through online learning landscapes and wondering how this digital quest is transforming me as a professional, as a learner and as a human because, to paraphrase Bachelard, I am what I become. I am interested in crossings, liquidising boundaries and how it affects our being and becoming. This project is part of this exploration. As a student on the MSc in Digital Education (University of Edinburgh) I designed two multimodal assignments: On Threshold Practices of Becoming Online and Posthuman Couplings, dynamic compositions that weave text and images, video and links, that aim to challenge linearity and foreground spatiality. The design process got me thinking of how multimodality affects the processes of writing and whether there is space for such experiments in academia. This is how this project has been born.
